CHROMA - in-progress catalogue

Here is my in-progress catalogue we looked over in our critique today.  Some comments I am taking into consideration are the placement of type on the pages, and also the typeface I use for the body copy as well as the big titles. I also might work with adding color to the background and also titles. 

CHROMA PROJECT - fail cubes

My word is creation, this is a fail cube that I created that I don't like at all. It was just an experiment with colors and textures.

This is the design I am going with, this cube just didn't turn out correctly. After four separate tries and fails, the final is complete. Pictures to come.

These are some of my pages for my catalogue for the chroma project. It is a very rough draft and most of the information is just laid out, not how it will eventually be created. 

CHROMA PROJECT - color swatches

These are my color swatches for the chroma project. The colors document a journey through the eyes of a college student (myself) an elderly person (my Grandmother) and a child (my 8 year old cousin). 

Writing workshop 9-24-12

For homework we had to take the 3rd sentence from our favorite writing we did in class. I choose my 3rd writing, the list and my sentence was "one." Once I found out what we were doing with it I was slightly relieved. We were to take each word from the sentence and create different versions of it. This could be visuals, or text variations. Below is what I came up with for the word one.
